I received two CakCity Men’s Watches; one with a brown leather band and the other with a striped nylon band. The Skmei watch faces are identical, with a round face and tick marks instead of numbers to note the time. There’s no second hand but they seem to keep good time. I was prepared to have to set the time but both watches came out of the box preset in EDT. The crystal of the watch face has a low profile which I like as I am prone to accidentally bump a higher profile crystal into things. There were no instructions included in either box, but the function is so simple all that is necessary may be to change the time or the batteries. I tried the brown leather band first but when I removed it from my wrist the clasp “broke.” Of course my daughter’s boyfriend snapped it back together and hasn't had any problem since. I haven't had any trouble with the nylon striped band. It’s a little more “slippery” than the leather band but doesn't stress the clasp upon removal. I have to say, for an inexpensive watch the CakCity works and looks nice.
I give them four stars for their classic good looks and their functionality. The lack of any even limited directions (setting time or battery removal, etc.) seems a shortcoming, but their simplicity makes up for it. The propensity for the clasp on the leather band to unsnap upon removal left me disappointed, but as I said, it wasn't really broken. As inexpensive, everyday watches, they have a classic look and they keep great time.
