USB Charger Perfect for Motorhome

This USB car charger is great for the back seat drivers.

Not only can they tell you how to drive, but now they can charge their phones and toys too.

For me, I wanted this for my motorhome. I have extra 12volt sockets. Many of my gadgets are either rechargeable or they work off USB plugs. This enables me to have 2 ports at the socket and then run the wire to a convenient spot to have 2 more ports.

A Must Have For Emergency Repairs

J-B Water Weld is MAGIC, it can fix plumbing or oil pan or hot water heaters. It withstands heat. It's easy to use.

The cost at Amazon was half the price of what the hardware store wanted. I know because I called and asked them, while listening to their outrageous price on the phone, I looked it up on Amazon, it was such a bargain I ordered it from Amazon instead.

After much trial and error with other products, J-B Water Weld FIXED my leaking hot water tank in my motorhome without having to rip apart the place to install a new heater. I am now happily using my old heater just fine.

My water tank is stored in an area with a ton of RV electrical wiring. Replacing it would be very costly both for the tank itself (have to buy the entire unit) plus the installation was way beyond my capabilities for sure. Being that RV repairman charge 80-120 per hour, I could see where this could become a ridiculously expensive repair if they took 10-20 hours to reroute and remove all the wiring (that services the rest of the RV)  and plumbing (also servicing the entire RV) long enough to remove the tank, replace and hook the entire mess back up again.

This stuff was a lifesaver. I now have hot water in my RV again, no water leaks, and the cost of the repair was teeny tiny fraction of what replacing the hot water tank would have been.

I've included a picture of my hot water fix. As of this writing, the weld has held up to hot water 24 hour daily use for over 8 months. I expect it will outlast the rig.

I learned about this product when I lived aboard a sailboat. You can use it on cars, RV's sailboats and around the home.

Amazing Booster Seat For A Driver's Seat

This seat is oh so comfortable!

It makes a great adult  booster seat. See my pics of before and after. My friend was driving around with a stack of 4 cushions on his driver's seat in his van. He was always fussing with them trying to restack them to drive somewhere. I said dude, we need to find you something better than this.

I searched all over Amazon, finally settling on this 5 inch memory foam seat. I ordered it and showed it to him. Here try this!

Upgrade Your Dashboard For Today's Electronic Lifestyle

 I adore this. It's perfect for my motorhome. I have a back-up camera and a GPS both requiring a 12 volt outlet. On top of that I need USB to keep my MP3 player charged up so I can listen to it through my stereo speakers while bouncing down the highways.

My phone uses USB to stay fully charged. I now have a dash cam that requires USB power to run continuously, so this is just fantastic for upgrading my 1994 motorhome into the 21st century.

When plugged in, it lights up displaying the voltage of your battery right away. Super handy!

It has an on-off switch just above the battery indicator, so you can leave it stuck in the cigarette lighter outlet 24/7. Just turn it off when not in use to save battery power. The red LED lights will go out to let you know it is off.

The male end of the plug is sturdy and fits the cigarette lighter outlet nice and snug. It also has a protective fuse in the plug, so if it stops working, check your fuse.

The base came with 3M double stick tape already applied. Just peel off the protective shield on the tape, then stick on the dash. Clean the dash area with alcohol first, so the adhesion will have a clear clan surface to adhere.

I plugged in everything I typically use while driving, then held the base up in various areas until I found the perfect spot to attach mine.

The picture I have included shows where I  permanently mounted mine on the dash of my 1994 motorhome which is the same dashboard used on Ford E350 vans.

The outer case of this is rubbery with a nice feel. Mine is plain flat black which suits my gray dash just fine. The cord from the male socket to the triple female sockets is heavy duty, nothing flimsy at all. This seems built to last.

I am very pleased with this product and upgrade.

Works In Cigarette Lighter Outlets

This works terrific in the car's or RV's cigarette lighter socket.It has blue lights on it, to show you it's on a live circuit and working.

However when I went to shove it into my other 12 volt outlets in my RV which are designed for low wattage and not the high wattage associated with the cigarette lighters, it would slide in, but not light up or work at all. We tried this on my RV and a friend's RV. I am unsure why it wouldn't work in those outlets. I've never run into this before and I have several of these from different companies.

That being said, it did work fine in the cigarette lighter for recharging the phone and keeping the MP3 player charged up.

A curious thing about the style is that it is black on the outside and white on the end. I guess that makes it super easy to locate on your dashboard. Personally I haven't seen a white dashboard in a month of Sundays.

All in all, it worked, the blue lights let you know it's on. The blue lights are a personal preference.  I don't like them, but others do.

Well Made with Easy To Read Manual, Comes Complete with Battery and Storage Box

I am an amateur, mostly interested in testing the state of my DC batteries for my RV motorhome and batteries used in products like AA, C, D etc.

This multimeter came complete with the probes and the 9volt battery to operate it. The meter is ready to operate, right out of the box. Reusable protective caps are on the female ends of the leads.

The manual is 15 pages long, in English with print large enough to read, not that teeny tiny impossible print. Troubleshooting and maintenance section also included.

I am impressed with the large digital readout. No magnifying glass needed for this. The meter is easy to hold. On the back is a keyhole type hook so you can hang this on a tool pegboard or anywhere you choose to hang it up, if you prefer that over storing it in the box. There is also an easel type door on the rear that can be used to prop the meter up on the table.

The entire product with probes and manual arrived in a sturdy box perfect for storing the meter between uses. Alternatively it hangs on the wall or pegboard. There are rubber sleeves on the rear to hold the probes between uses.

Fabulous Universal RV and Car Mount For GPS or Phones

This is a great universal mount for the dash of your car or RV.

I have an older GPS that doesn't have its own bracket to hold it on the dashboard. I got this magnetic mount to see if it would solve my problem. It did! Beautifully too.

First I installed the metal plate on the back of the  GPS.
I cleaned the dashboard with plain rubbing alcohol in the areas I thought I might want to install the mount.

While that was drying  I played around with the base of the mount on the dashboard of my wheel estate until I got it in the perfect place that suits me.
Now I used the 3M included tape on the base of the mount to stick it to the dashboard.
Next I stuck the GPS on the magnet of the mount.
Then I adjusted the round knob in back that allows me to angle the GPS at the perfect viewing level.

The kit came with both a rectangle metal mount and a round metal mount.
The round mount included 3M tape already attached, just peel and stick.
The rectangle did not, but I had some double-sided Scotch outdoor mounting tape on hand, so I used that to attach the rectangle to my GPS. I wanted to use the rectangle in case while driving I needed to adjust the GPS for better viewing. I probably could have used the round mount just fine.

My kit arrived in a box labeled Magnetic Air Vent Mount, but it was for the dashboard, so open the box first before you assume you got the wrong product. Inside, mine was the correct product.

Great Jumper Cables For Most Typical Uses with Nice Compact Storage Box with Handle

If you have a small truck or SUV or  a  mid sized car, these 8 gauge cables are going to be perfect for your personal needs. They come in a nice neat compact sturdy box with a handle for easy compact storage between uses. The 12 foot length is going to work out fine in most cases. 

Two important things to know when shopping for booster cables:

The smaller the gauge number, the heavier the cable. The second is look for UL-Listed or UL-Listing as that  is of prime importance. 

UL is an acronym for Underwriters' Laboratories (used especially on labels for electrical appliances approved by this nonprofit safety-testing organization).

UL Listing means that UL has tested representative samples of the product and determined that it meets UL’s requirements. These requirements are based primarily on UL’s published and nationally recognized Standards for Safety.

Heavy jumper cables will conduct more electricity.  However, sometimes it's prudent after hooking up a battery for jumping, to just wait 5 minutes to let the dead battery get a charge going off the donor

battery before starting the car with the dead battery. 

If you run into somebody needing help that has a  jumbo sized SUV, truck or car, and you have smaller gauge cables, you can probably still help them out by waiting 5 minutes after the batteries are hooked up to send some charge over from your donor battery (with engine running) to their dead battery. After 5 minutes they can try to start their dead battery and typically this will work.

Momoday Temperature Gun Non-contact LCD Digital Laser Infrared Ir Thermometer

A quality product that works perfectly.

This thermometer works beautifully. I drive a motorhome and this is super handy to have to measure the heat of the brakes to make sure they are functioning correctly. Furthermore I like to check my refrigerator, freezer, oven and cooked meats.

This temperature IR gun is absolutely awesome! I haven't even checked around the motorhome to find out where air conditioning leaks so I can better insulate.

I was able to switch this from Celsius to Fahrenheit with ease. I aimed it at my freezer bucket of ice (4 degrees) then aimed it at water in the fridge (38 degrees). So it seems pretty darn accurate. I now use it to check food coming out of the microwave or crockpot. It's amazingly fast, much faster than a meat thermometer and you don't have to poke it into anything.

The instructions explain about shiny surfaces may give off wrong readings and don't aim at your eyes or anybody's eyes. It turns off automatically when you are done with it. So thoughtfully handy.

They also included the 9 volt battery with the packaging. The clam shell packaging was a bear to open, if they continue selling this mail-order through Amazon, they may want to go with cheaper packaging rather than the clam shell.
