What a great birthday gift!

I love the gem of a tool. I drive a motorhome and also ride a bicycle. Tire pressure on both of these is very important. Having the handy PSI reading included is just awesome.

It's slow but durable. It gets the job done! I am very impressed.

My front tires needed a lot of air. I was scared when I realize how low they were. I just ran up and down awful roads running and hiding from hurricane Irma. I surely needed this then, as I could have kept my tires topped up correctly without having to find a truck stop. Most places now charge for using their tire inflator plus many times I find they no longer include the built in PSI meter, which is frustrating.

This one told me where my current tire was and then allowed me to set my desired PSI. Then it went to work like magic pumping up my tire. Ten it turned off,but the button was still on, so turn off the button.

Read the instructions and keep them in the box it cam with. I stored mine back in the box with the instructions. It explains that this can get too hot after about 30 minutes use, then you seriously need to let it cool down, before using it again.

Incorrect tire pressure can cause a blow out and a bad wreck. This tool is a must-have for any car owner. I used it to top up my bicycle tires too which was super quick.

Be sure to turn your engine on while using this so that you have plenty of power. Otherwise  you  might accidentally kill your starter battery.

Three Years Later, Still Going Strong, A Must Have For Every Camper

I have been using this over 3 years now.

It is powerful and bright. The batteries last a long time.

When things go bump in the night, I can immediately shine this outside and see what kind of ghoulies and ghosties are lurking about.

While workamping in my RV on remote US Army Corp property, I was able to light up the trespassers that entered the park in the dark after closing. Amazing how having yourself lit up by a bright spotlight can make you want to get back in your car and leave at a rapid pace.

If some fool is banging on your RV door after dark and you aren't expecting a soul, just light them up with this spotlight. They are so blinded that if they had any ill will, they are temporarily stunned and tend to run off at great speed. That is how I got rid of children that were sneaking around in the campground banging on RV doors at 2am.

I've also used it at night for emergency repairs. It gives off big bright light to get the job done quicker. One night in the campground, some late arrivals were having trouble backing into their dark campsite. I was able to light up the campsite for them and they in turn could see out their rear view camera to get their noisy stinky diesel RV parked and shut down.

I love this spotlight. I keep it in a cabinet by my front door, so I can always grab it in a hurry.

Fabulous Gadget To Update your Vehicle With Bluetooth Phone and MP3 Music

This easily updates an older vehicle that doesn't have Bluetooth for cell phones or doesn't have MP3 playing capabilities.

It's very handy for playing music from a USB drive. It did play the tunes through the stereo speakers in my motorhome. I didn't have a micro card to test this on, but I am going to buy one and load it up with music from my computer and stash it in the transmitter. Seems easier than having a USB drive hanging out of it.

The design is well thought out with a spare USB port for charging, the other one is strictly for listening music. So make sure you understand which is which on the USB ports.

My cigarette lighter is a good bit away from me in the motorhome which is actually built on a Ford E350 chassis. So the front of my motorhome is just like a van. Anyhow, I had a friend call me on the phone so we could test it to see if the microphone was picking up my voice. When they called and I answered the music stopped and we chatted. They could hear my voice fine. Their voice came through on my stereo speakers.

When you are hooking it up, first find an FM number (frequency) that is not being used by a radio station. Then match that number on the transmitter. Then you are good to go.

If you are driving around the same area, then you won't have to change the FM frequency. But if you are driving a long distance, then time to time, you may have to pick out a different frequency if you accidentally drive into an area where a radio station is using the same frequency you are currently using for music and phone.

This is an ingenious idea that really works.

I have included a picture that shows it with my USB drive for music. I like the flexible gooseneck too, very handy to configure in your vehicle.

Fabulous Idea For Sailboaters to Store Assorted Wines without Breaking Them

A must have for all boaters, especially sail boaters.

In my days of living and working on charter yachts in the Caribbean, we would have bought these by the dozen. They are a great way to not only carry a wine bottle but to store them without boxes in a nice "quiet" way. Nothing worse that sailing on a sailboat and hearing the wine bottle crash or clink loudly.

I find this handy for carrying wine around.However, they didn't sew the bottom correctly so that the wine can sit upright in the bottle in the carrier, it has to be laid down. It would have required 2 extra seams to sew this up in such a way that the wine bottle could stand up nicely too.

 However, I chopped the bottom off mine and resewed it to carry my  12 ounce water bottle. I like to walk my dog and this makes it so much easier to have handles on my water bottle. I usually carry a big D ring that has the dog leash, the house keys, the poop bag purse and now the water bottle tote attached to it.

I believe this company could sell these for carrying a water bottle in a smaller length, it sure works for me!

They could also consider a pocket on the side to hold a folding wine opener. That would be awesome for going to outside concerts where they allow one to bring a wine bottle.

All in all a good product. Mine was professionally sewn, with no loose stitches or loose threads. The neoprene seems to be quality fabric.

For these reasons I gave it 5 awesome stars.

A Friendly Reminder to Lift the Seat

Here’s a neat little gadget to remind those boys in your household to lift the toilet seat. The Helping Hand Company provides this cute little hand to attach to the seat; it’s a little handle but also a noticeable reminder for those boys on the run who might forget to lift that seat before they go. It comes with extra adhesive strips for reattachment after multiple uses (unknown yet as we’re still on the first adhesive). Its little fingers project a victory sign to the boys, but for the girls in the house, this is probably a peace sign. With the helping hand reminding those guys to lift the seat, good habits are formed and mom doesn’t need to yell anymore.

I give The Helping Hand 5 stars for its cute simplicity and sound results. It’s great for training those boys good habits in toilet etiquette while giving the girls a little peace of mind. It didn’t come with much in the way of directions but it’s easy to figure out what it’s for. Where to place the hand is up to you. Ours is at the front of the seat, which is kind of funny for anyone sitting on the toilet because the hand is visible between one’s legs, so putting it at the side keeps it somewhat out of view. Either way, the Helping Hand will do its job; a great stocking stuffer or gift for the mother of boys. She’ll appreciate it.

Finally, A Solar Powered Wall Sconce Motion Sensor Security Light

The Illunite Solar Powered Motion Sensor Wall Sconce by Up Grade is a fantastic product. I received one to evaluate and found so many ways and locations for its use that I wish I had more than just one. After removing the unit from the box and charging it in the sun, I found it to be an invaluable source of light when needed. Initially I used it as one unit (its solar panel can be detached from the LED light section). I put it in the wall pocket of my tent while camping. Its LED lights provided a low continuous light in the dark. But when it detects motion within 3 meters of the sensor the Illunite automatically brightens providing more than enough light to read by. The bright mode will last for forty seconds unless its sensor detects motion. Turning the page of a book will do that. I also found that I could use it as a flash light or just an accent light. Of course it is solar powered so it is economical and environmentally friendly.

Up Grade, the manufacturer of the Illunite, has left no stone unturned. The instructions provided are clear and concise. Furthermore, this little product comes with a little bag of optional components: two adhesive strips and two screws with screw anchors for your choice of mounting options and locations. They also provide two lengths of extension cords so that, depending on the location, the solar panel can be detached and mounted in a sunny spot while the LED downlight can be mounted in a dark location. The extension cords are around 4 feet and 6 feet, giving more options to fit your needs. The accessories also include an activation pin which will turn the unit on (or off), but once it's activated I can't imagine why you'd ever turn it off unless you need to box it up to move to another location.

Needless to say, I give the Illunite Solar Powered LED Wall Light from Up Grade Five Stars. As a motion sensor night light it offers security while providing bright light when it's needed. Its versatility and adaptability are practically endless. Its instruction manual is thorough but straight forward and easy to read. And Up Grade has provided enough optional accessories to accommodate a variety of situations. I think I'll have to get more since this one is getting mounted at a side entry to my house that has no outdoor light. The solar panel can be mounted near the roof while the LED lights illuminate the entry at night, giving me bright light to unlock the door in the darkest of nights. I recommend this product highly, whatever your needs may be.

Leebotree Collapsible Umbrella

One Touch Umbrella? Not Exactly

 

The Leebotree Collapsible Umbrella is definitely one of the sturdiest collapsible umbrellas I have ever seen. Its one touch claim, however, is a bit misleading. Indeed the product opens with a single touch of a button on the handle; its telescoping shaft extends immediately and the umbrella unfurls nicely. With another push of the button to close it, however, only retracts the umbrella, the shaft must be manually returned to its compact position before storing in its sleeve. Retracting the shaft manually to click into its original state is challenging, to say the least. The one-touch feature is nice, but retracting the spring in the shaft is so hard to do that the one touch convenience isn't actually worth it. Also, the umbrella canopy cannot open again until the shaft is returned to its compact state so the implied one-touch convenience isn't really true.

 

That said, the sturdy construction of this travel umbrella seems unmatched. Its ribbing is reinforced and its telescoping shaft is sturdy as well. Perhaps after extended use the interior spring will become easier to use, but on first use this final step is a real bear to perform. Although this umbrella definitely is of fine quality, to suggest that it operates with one-touch is simply not true. Leebotree also implies that this product is windproof, which it very well is. I just don't have any wind around here now strong enough to try it out. But its construction is so well done that it definitely may be windproof up to a certain MPH (probably not hurricane or tornado wind speeds, though).

I give the Leebotree Collapsible Umbrella three stars because it does not have one-touch operation. I imagine an elderly woman with severe arthritis would be highly disappointed if she could only open her umbrella once and never again get it closed. However, its construction is of superior quality. Just don't imply that it's a one-touch umbrella, it's not.

This thermometer works beautifully. I drive a motorhome and this is super handy to have to measure the heat of the brakes to make sure they are functioning correctly.

I was able to switch this from Celsius to Fahrenheit. I aimed it at my freezer bucket of ice (4 degrees) then aimed at water in the fridge (38 degrees). So it seems pretty darn accurate. I now use it to check food coming out of the microwave or crockpot. It's amazingly fast, much faster than a meat thermometer and you don't have to poke it into anything.

The instructions explain about shiny surfaces may give off wrong readings and don't aim at your eyes or anybody's eyes. It turns off automatically when you are done with it. So handy.

They thoughtfully included a 9 volt battery with the packaging. The clam shell packaging was a bear to open, if they continue selling this mail-order through Amazon, they may want to go with cheaper packaging.

This kit comes with 2 hefty straps and an assortment of machine bolts, washers and different sized screws. You may need to buy different hardware for your particular application, but they do provide you a good assortment so that you can probably install it right out of the package.

I have lived in earthquake areas and straps on furniture and TV's is a must have. Also curious children, pets and even adults can accidentally pull over furniture. So many of these mammoth TV's come with tiny TV  bases that have no pre-drilled holes for you to bolt it to the TV stand furniture.

Even if you don't live in an earthquake area, a nearby explosion can rock your home and furnishings. I happened to live in an apartment in the Caribbean that had 2 explosions within 1000 feet just a year apart. The first was when a restaurant had a propane malfunction and the kitchen blew up. The second was a gasoline truck that was transferring gasoline when a leak developed in the coupling allowing it to drip on a hot exhaust pipe which started a fire which caused the truck to blow up and several businesses to burn to the ground. The explosion was seen from space. In both cases my apartment shook like an earthquake had hit and things were tumbling down.

These straps are perfect for preventing further damages from falling TV's and furniture, especially around curious children who can get into anything in a hurry and cause mayhem in a nanosecond. If you search the internet for news stories about children killed from falling TV's and furniture, it will break your heart into a million pieces.

This type of strapping is a  must-have in today's world of giant electronics. Equally important for tall heavy furniture.

The cute cow included for the door slammer is awesome. You can place it up high enough where you kid can't close their door at all. I would hide the cow so they don't think it's a toy to climb up after. The other side is plain white. This is also useful on a breezy day of open windows to keep doors from slamming around the home.

Amazing OSHA approved safety sunglasses.

I was utterly impressed with the quality of these. I spend a lot of time outdoors and on bicycles. These had extreme clarity and cut through the bright sunshine yet provided clear colors. The wrap around feature is awesome and they are amazingly comfortable.

Now the sad part. I personally need prescription glasses so I could only have some fun with these at slower speeds. So I let my boyfriend try them out.
