Nostalgic Plant Hangers Aren’t Only for Plants

Eboot Plant Hanger and  Birdbath Pic

Upon receiving my eBoot plant hangers I was immediately transported to the 1970s when macramé and decoupage reigned. Nostalgia inevitably crept into my psyche. These sturdy, corded plant hangers come with heavy brass rings for added hanging support. Each natural fiber hanger has beads woven into its four cords, and its versatility allows for square or round pots. At approximately three feet long, the eBoot hangers are neither too big nor too small and work well in almost any location. I put a fern in one hanger, but the other I decided to try with a handmade dish for a birdbath. It’s been so hot lately I thought the birds could use a break.

Although preferably for indoor use, mine are currently on my deck enjoying a sunny summer day. If perhaps the fiber had a wax coating, these hangers would withstand the outdoors. But for now they are holding up great.

I give the eBoot Plant Hangers Four Stars for their sturdy construction with brass hangers and the attractiveness of their design. Although holding up fine, I wish the cord material would allow continuous outdoor use. Nonetheless, I find my pair of eBoot hangers to work great.

An Efficient Grow Light for Year-round Gardening

Here’s a must for the indoor gardener with limited space and a desire for energy efficiency. The Deckey MFC-14W provides a lightweight and adjustable LED grow light that spans a horizontal area just over 12” x 12”. Its 165 evenly spaced red and blue LED lights provide the best light for indoor plant growth; the red lights stimulating flowers and seed production while the blue lights promote stem and leaf growth. Its nearly 5 foot grounded and removable power cord allows for adjustable height of the light depending on the plant growth below. It also includes mounting hardware and screws. The hook at the top of the wire mounting bracket can be suspended from a rope or chain from the ceiling giving the benefit of adjustability so necessary when growing plants indoors. This product is perfect for winter’s indoor starter garden or for those closed in spaces that are limited in natural light. Grow herbs, flowers, or get an early start on your spring vegetable garden with this highly efficient and productive grow light.

Finally, a Truly Adaptable LED Grow Light

Upon opening the Tevelo LED Desk Grow Light I was surprised that it had such a long, flexible neck, considering the size of the box it came in. It includes a heavy-duty, spring-loaded clamp to attach to a shelf or table top, and when turned on with the on-the-cord switch it shines a pleasant pink/magenta light. This is a perfect grow light for maintaining that table-top violet that deserves some special care. It could also be attached to an outdoor umbrella pole on the patio for some pretty funky lighting. Its flexible neck allows the light to be pointed in any direction, and its 16” length gives plenty of options for tall plants, short plants, or those somewhere in between. And its LED lights are cost efficient making it good on the wallet, too.

I give this product 4 1/2 Stars because it’s so versatile, and its sleek, contemporary style and attractive lighting make it a pleasant addition to any room, and plants like it. I took ½ a star because I think the length of the cord could be just a little longer. I live in an older home with limited electrical outlets, so a cord longer than 55” may sometimes be necessary. But that’s what extension cords are for. I may be back to upgrade to 5 Stars when I see how my African violet does under the Tevelo LED lights. So far, so good.
