Good Emergency Chocolate To Keep Around, Huge Bag is Misleading

I love the taste for when I get a craving for dark chocolate which does have many health benefits. I like the strong 86 because I want the chocolate flavor not intense sugars.

The bag is a nightmare to open!  They have super glued it shut so that you can not lift it off, you have to take scissors to cut it open.

Also the bag is huge compared to the contents inside. I would rather have cheaper packaging and a better price, but I don't think big companies really care what their consumers have to say, so I am whispering to the wind.

Price is pretty good for a 4 pack though.

Toasty Tasty Town House Tidbits

Tasty on their own.

Makes a good dipping cracker.

Delectable snack that can empty out a box in a hurry.

Town House Focaccia Tuscan Cheese, 9 Ounce

5 Years Later Still Cooking In It Several Times A Week

This crockpot is an ideal size for smaller households. I actually have two crockpots in two different sizes. I would have three if I had room.

The GOOD News:

I make one pot meals, chili, cornbread, baked potatoes, acorn squash, turkey and then gravy, mac and cheese, dried bean dishes, Mexican casseroles and a long list of other recipes all in this crock pot. I've even made lasagna in it by breaking up the lasagna pasta to layer it in sections and adding an extra cup of water to the sauce so the pasta cooks with the sauce, no need to boil the pasta first.

For making cornbread, I have learned the hard way, to line it with a big hunk of foil first. Grease that up, then pour the cornbread batter in it. Usually it takes about an hour to make cornbread because instead of milk or water,  I usually add a can of cream style corn, 2-3 eggs to fluff it up some plus bacon bits and jalepenos. Once the cornbread is done, just use the foil to lift it from the crockpot. Let it sit up about ten minutes, the foil will then easily peel away from the cornbread sides . It will also  slice beautifully into wedges. The foil will wrap around leftovers.

The only  BAD news about this crockpot is the stainless steel is not high quality, but given the budget friendly pricing, you can 't really expect high quality stainless steel on the outside which doesn't touch the food anyhow.

The other minor problem is the print for the control settings came off after a few gentle washings to clean up the outside. I used 4 self sticking labels to mark Off, Low, High, Warm so I am still using it just fine. One day I will replace the labels with fingernail polish to mark the control settings. I have used fingernail polish on other appliances that needed help with markings. It doesn't wash off like the labels eventually do.

I am very happy this has lasted 5 years and 9 months as I write this. I have put it through a lot of heavy duty use, 3-7 times per week plus it has traveled in my motorhome and gone to quite a few pot luck dinners.

My Fur Baby Loves His Cesars Savory Delights

My fur baby loves his Cesar foods!

He prefers to eat half a serving each morning for breakfast. No use feeding him the entire container, he will eat exactly half and walk away. So now I just dish out half, refrigerate half and feed it the next day. The rest of the day he likes his dry crunchy food.

This pack of 24 is from Amazon is a much better deal than the grocery or pet stores, especially if you combine it with 15% savings on Subscribe and Save.

I like the packaging that it tears open neatly to half, I can scoop that out, then replace the lid for the next morning. On day two he eats it straight from the dish, saving me washing up time.

The Purest Salt on Earth with Amazing Health Benefits

The best salt you will ever taste.

I walk my doggy and ride my bicycle, often in Florida heat. I need lots of salt to balance out the mountains of purified water I drink.

This is the best salt ever. Very addicting. I've been using it for years. I have neer hd to use rice in my salt shaker, it just seems to pour out fine.

An extraordinary product at a good price.

Tasty Treat That Is As Delicious as any Pepperidge Farm Recipe

Absolutely delicious!

Fabulous as a stand alone cracker, terrific paired with exotic cheese or plain old peanut butter.

Love the triple variety in one box. You don't have to buy a case to enjoy  the flavor. Amazon appears to sell them a box at a time, cheaper than my local grocery store.

Fabulous Food My Fur Baby Loves For Breakfast

My fur baby loves his Cesar's food. He eats half of one each morning for breakfast. The rest of the day he prefers dry food.

The 36 pack last him 72 days, or about two and a half months. Getting it on subscribe and save with other products gets him an extra 15% off. So it's a win win situation for both of us.

He used to have dry wiry fur, now it's not so dry, though it's still wiry and sticks out at odd angles. I hope they keep this 36 pack around, it's handy to buy and store.

Cesars gives him loads of energy to play Frisbee and fight with his teddy bears as well as trot around the block a few times.

We travel in a tiny motorhome. Cesars is easy to store so no matter where we are, we have his food on hand.

Delicious and Functional for my Tiny Refrigerator

This is terrific for me. I live in a small RV with  tiny refrigerator. I am able to keep this on the shelf and just cool one or two at a time.

It's 100% juice with no crap added. I just wish they sold it in concentrate so the shipping and storage didn't take up so much room.

While the taste is not 100% fresh squeezed, it is of a high quality.

I am so grateful they sell it in a bottle rather than those annoying teensy boxes with the prewrapped straws that create garbage everywhere.

I just wish Tropicana had more to offer in the 100% juice department.

Delicious when served ice cold.

The Magic of Sous Vide

I enjoy cooking and learning new methods of making delectable tasty treats.

When I first heard of Sous Vide I was skeptical about how this was all going to work, yet if the finest restaurants used this method, why not the home chef too?

I ended up with a Kitchen Gizmo Sous Vide machine, then the rest I culled from my kitchen such as a pot of water, zipper food baggies and a spring clamp. Add food and cook!

At the market, I searched for discounted must sale meats. I found these huge Dolly Parton chicken breasts so I came home with those as my first test dish. I made a simple homemade teriyaki sauce with Braggs amino acids, honey, ginger, garlic, orange juice and a splash of wine.

Since each breast was jumbo sized, I used two zipper baggies placing one breast half the sauce in each one. I did the water immersion technique to squeeze out the very last bit of air so each baggie would appear to be vacuum sealed. Then I separated them on the side of the pot of water with a spring clamp to hold them in place.

The idea is to let the Sous Vide machine circulate hot water around the food with out the baggies getting sucked into the little aerator pump.

I set the temperature to 145F per the cooking chart and settled on one hour. At the end of the cooking time, I wasn't satisfied with the results, so I added another half hour. These breasts were mammoth! Matter of fact, I used two plates to serve them at the neighborhood potluck garnished with pineapple chunks.

A dozen neighbors tried the teriyaki chicken and found it moist, tender, and tasty. Some went back for seconds. None of them had heard of Sous Vide but I think they were sold on the concept too after tasting the tender tasty  chicken.

Replaces Electrolytes Essential to Good Health

Organic coconut water in a long life shelf dated  Tetra Pak.

Awesomely delicious. Super helpful in summer to help prevent heat stroke.

Quenches thirst, replaces electrolytes naturally.

Last summer while traveling I had to be outside repairing RV on side of the road. The 100 degree heat with 99 humidity overcame me. It took weeks to recover.

Then I discovered Amazon was carrying this awesome coconut water. This summer I am out walking the dog and riding my bicycle in Florida heat. Every day I drink at least one of these coconut waters. I feel amazingly well.

Organic and pure. Plenty to love in this box of wholesome goodness.

Delicious at room temperature or icy cold. The Tetra Paks store in the pantry until opened, then they need refrigeration.

I will never let my pantry run dry again.

Outstanding Taste and Very Handy Tetra Paks Insure A Fresh Quality Product

Vita Coco Coconut Water, Pure, 11.1 Ounce (Pack of 12)

Outstanding taste.

Hydrates quickly.

Last summer I had heat stroke. It took me weeks to fully recover. It wrecked my summer. But now that pure coconut water is available in Tetra Paks, I can enjoy quick restorative hydration. I've been drinking at least one a day the entire summer. So far I feel terrific! I am outdoors often in the heat and humidity walking my dog or taking him for rides on my bicycle.

When I lived in the Caribbean, I could get fresh coconut water every day. When I returned to the USA, I discovered this was going to be a huge problem. When I found out coconut water was being sold in Tetra Paks, I immediately became a fan.

Check the dates stamped on the carton. They are good on the shelf through that date. You can drink it room temperature or icy cold. Once you open a Tetra Pak, any unfinished product needs to be refrigerated. This is so delicious and comes in the right size, I seriously doubt if you will have any leftovers.

Beside Coffee This Gadget Makes Awesome Yogurt Cheese

Not only does this make excellent coffee, one cup at a time, but it's also an awesome yogurt cheese maker.

If you like to make yogurt cheese as thick as cream cheese, then you need this. Just place a coffee cup underneath, scoop plain yogurt into the top, heap it in as high as you can, then let it drip in your fridge from 12-24 hours.

I usually go 24 hours so I end up with tasty whey in the coffee cup below, just drink this up plain or with juice (very healthy). What you will have left in the top is thick yummy yogurt cheese that is super healthy without the fats of cheeses. From there you can stir in herbs, wait another 24 hours and have a sumptuous spread for crackers, veggies or a sandwich.

This makes the best yogurt cheese and will put the store bought Greek yogurts to pure shame.

The stainless steel in this product seems to be high quality.

Fabulous Idea For Sailboaters to Store Assorted Wines without Breaking Them

A must have for all boaters, especially sail boaters.

In my days of living and working on charter yachts in the Caribbean, we would have bought these by the dozen. They are a great way to not only carry a wine bottle but to store them without boxes in a nice "quiet" way. Nothing worse that sailing on a sailboat and hearing the wine bottle crash or clink loudly.

I find this handy for carrying wine around. However, they didn't sew the bottom correctly so that the wine can sit upright in the bottle in the carrier, it has to be laid down. It would have required 2 extra seams to sew this up in such a way that the wine bottle could stand up nicely too.

However, I chopped the bottom off mine and resewed it to carry my  12 ounce water bottle. I like to walk my dog and this makes it so much easier to have handles on my water bottle. I usually carry a big D ring that has the dog leash, the house keys, the poop bag purse and now the water bottle tote attached to it.

I believe this company could sell these for carrying a water bottle in a smaller length, it sure works for me!

They could also consider a pocket on the side to hold a folding wine opener. That would be awesome for going to outside concerts where they allow one to bring a wine bottle.

All in all a good product. Mine was professionally sewn, with no loose stitches or loose threads. The neoprene seems to be quality fabric.

For these reasons I gave it 5 awesome stars.

Awesome Bowl My Baby Loves!

My precious baby loves his new bowl. He is 6 pounds of mixed terror. He goes for hikes, bicycle rides, car rides, camping and dog parks. Water on the go is a must for this busy canine.

He often drinks out of the top of my water bottle, the kind with a thick neck, but this means I waste water trying to rinse his slobber or beard fur out of it. Now that he has this cute collapsible bowl, I can just whip it out and put some of my water bottle in it for him.

I like the mini D ring carabiner on it. I use a big carabiner to hold his leash, his poop baggy purse, the keys and now his water bowl. I can just unclip it, pop it open and plop it down.

Mine arrived in hot pink with absolutely no odor at all, but I did give it a hot sudsy washing before use.

I give it 5 bright stars for being durable and super cute and the fact my baby boy LOVES it.

Eco-Friendly Coffee Grinder Maintains Quality AND High Style

When I received my Coletti Ceramic Burr Coffee Grinder and opened the box I was surprised by the first three items that I removed: a very nice stainless steel measuring spoon, an attractive wooden stirring spoon, and a wooden, natural bristle brush. All of these items reflect quality on their own. But that they are included with the Coletti Coffee Grinder makes this eco-friendly product a true find. The grinder itself, with its removable (and heavy-duty) handle, is a work of art. Its stainless steel finish is attractive and tough, and its self-contained design, with its integral but removable collection cup at the bottom, reflects the manufacturer’s attention to detail.

I wanted to try it out, but since I broke my electric grinder several years ago, I didn’t have any whole coffee beans. No problem. I ground some peanuts. It worked great. I ground some dried dill, some fennel, and some whole peppercorns; it worked consistently well for all of them. I ran into a snag when I tried to grind a couple of whole almonds; the grinder isn’t made for that large a bean. No problem. I just broke them into slightly smaller pieces and the Coletti grinder took care of the rest. I also took the product apart to clean and then put it back together with absolutely no problems.

I do love fresh ground coffee so I will probably use it mostly for that. The grinding chamber and the receptacle at the bottom are the perfect size to accommodate a whole pot of stout coffee, freshly ground. But if I wish to grind something else, well, the stylish and environmentally friendly Coletti Ceramic Burr Grinder will be there, even if the power goes out.

I gave this product 5 Stars for its eco-friendliness, its quality of construction, its stylish appearance, its versatility, its included accessories, and its ease of use and clean-up. I will probably store it and its accessories together in the original box, but I really want it out so that my friends can see it and envy my incredible good taste.

I received this product at no charge for evaluation and am providing my honest and unbiased review. The vendor in no way has influenced, modified, or edited my comments. I love this product.

Ice Cakes like a Professional

The Kitchen Addiction Cake Icing Kit includes more than enough Russian icing tips to decorate your favorite confections to your heart’s content. Its 33 stainless steel tips are heavy-duty and seem to provide every conceivable design imaginable; flowers, stars, petals, leaves, etc. The reusable storage box contains all necessary components except the icing itself. It doesn’t include a guide for what the tips create so practicing with each tip is a requirement. The five icing bags included are plastic, so you’ll likely need more of them with extended use. But the creativity that this product allows is rather amazing; whether it’s a single color extrusion or a tri-color design, the Kitchen Addiction kit has it covered. The lack of any instructions or design explanations makes me think this product is targeted more to the baking professional. But practicing with each tip and experimenting with design may be the fun of it.

I give this product 4 stars only because of its lack of instructions. The packaging and its components are of great quality, to be sure, but learning and retaining the functions of each of the 33 stainless steel tips is a challenge for the untrained confectioner. Sure, there’s a learning curve but I would recommend a simple guide for each of the tip’s designs just to make learning icing technique a little easier.

Patio Gardening Has No Limits

This set of five Flower Pot Clips with screws is a great way to add dimension to your patio garden. Their heavy-duty stainless steel construction will hold up in all kinds of weather, and they’re strong enough to accommodate all sorts of plants, flowers, or even vegetables. Attach the clips to a deck rail or the ends of your deck steps and extend your garden beyond the patio. Or attach them to that bland wooden privacy fence and have trailing flowers or vegetables where you never thought you could before. Of course there were no instructions but after installing the first clip upside down I realized my error and found them to be very accommodating. They held all sizes of the traditional clay pots that I had on hand, and although the screw provided is adequate for most any plant it is possible to use a longer screw if necessary. The surprisingly simple design will leave you wondering why you never had thought of it before.

I give the Flower Pot Clips 5 stars for their simplicity, durability, and the creativity that they provide. They really are a handy gardening accessory particularly suited to the patio gardener.
