A White Board that Sticks
I needed a magnetic white board and the Novo 24 x 36 dry erase board seemed to fit the bill. It includes four integral hooks for hanging and includes a fold down tray for holding dry-erase markers. It indeed holds magnets well so that one can post paper notes and memos on it while writing or erasing the dry erase markers. It includes plastic reinforcements at the corners so it will hold up well. Its white background erases well, and it works great if you want a 36” x 24” dry erase board. But my problem came up when I realized that the location I intended to use it allowed for a 24” wide board, not a 36” wide board. The Novo board doesn’t allow for this option. The top hooks and the bottom fold-down marker tray cannot be moved to the 24” side. This was a little frustrating since I’m accustomed to dimensions being width x height, and this board was advertised as a 24 x 36 board. I shouldn’t have assumed that it would work either vertically or horizontally.
I have to give this product 3 stars because it should be labeled a 36” x 24” board. Novo has given no choice but to use it in its horizontal application. The tray and hooks are handy but the lack of options to accommodate narrower locations left me frustrated. Its reinforced corners are great but if I can’t use it where I want to, then it’s useless. I suggest changing the label to state 36 x 24 to eliminate any disappointments.
