This socket is the same as a standard American bulb.
Just screw it in and start zapping. If you have it on a light switch, you can turn the other light on and off, so it is dual purpose.
So it's a great idea all around.
However, I do wish it was water resistant and I wish the white base of it tapered up skinnier so it would fit in all sockets. But if you have a covered porch it will work there. Will work inside of course to keep your bedroom or any where else free from those annoying mosquitoes.
An innovative idea I like.
