Summertime is watermelon season and what better time to
try the Sweet Slice melon cutter. We tried it out on a honeydew melon and it
worked great. The box states that this product is new and improved, but not sure
what may have been improved upon. Although it looks a bit unusual, its use is
pretty straight-forward. Its curved double blade slices through the meaty part
of the melon, leaving the rind intact, thus eliminating the mess of traditional
melon slicing. Also, each slice is uniform in size. When slicing the melon in a
cross-hatch pattern, the best of the melon is removed while the rind remains
intact, allowing the hollowed out rind to be refilled easily as an attractive
melon bowl centerpiece. The rubberized handle is comfortable in the hand and its
stainless steel blades make the Sweet Slice completely machine washable. Its
flexible construction is very sturdy but easy to squeeze in order to grip the
slice for removal. It’s also safe because its cutting blades aren’t sharp.
Forget the melon baller; the Sweet Slice is the way to
go.
I give this product 5 Stars. The Sweet Slice is a
practical product that’s invention has been long
overdue.
