I live fulltime in a tiny home of 200 square feet, yet I love to cook. Storing a strainer has always been a hassle yet living without one is impossible.
This Beaumont Kitchenware Collapsible Strainer is THE BEST I have ever encountered. It's very well made and put together for heavy duty day to day use. I love that it collapses very compactly. It hangs on my kitchen wall in my motorhome like a work of art.
It is evident throughout that a chef designed this with pure functionality and extremely good quality in mind. Just my person luck that it came in a screaming red color which coordinates nicely in my kitchen.
I gave it a nice washing first off. I have no dishwasher, but it's super easy to clean by hand. Then I immediately boiled pasta to give it a test. next I scrubbed fresh vegetables. I love using it to contain the veggies while I scrub them so they are not touching the possibly dirty sink. Usually I have to scrub then meticulously rinse the sink before scrubbing and washing vegetables. Using this colander saves that step. I can just pop open the colander then wash and scrub my veggies without worry of them becoming contaminated from a dirty sink.
This colander has holes in the bottom and sides. It drained quickly. I am used to having to toss and shake pasta to get it to properly drain, but with the multitude of holes in the bottom and sides, there just wasn't any extra water to shake out.
The stainless steel is definitely top quality and polished to a mirror finish. In one of the pictures I have supplied you can see me and my camera reflected in the stainless steel. Simply amazing. The silicone is superb quality as well emitting absolutely no odor at all. I checked immediately right out of the box.

I give this 5 awesome stars. This colander is the best I ever seen. I love that I can pop it open into several different sizes. It's extremely well made. For me it's a treasure to own one.
